Braden Tuck was part of an early onslaught for the Trail Smoke Eaters as they jumped out to a 4-0 first-period lead en route to a 5-3 victory over the West Kelowna Warriors Thursday night at the Cominco Arena in Trail. Luke Santerno scored twice while Tuck, Kale Howarth and Josh Laframboise supplied single markers as the Smokies picked up their fifth win in six games. The team heads across the border this weekend to take on the Wenatchee Wild on Saturday night. The Smokies next home game won't be until Nov. 25 when they host the Chilliwack Chiefs.
