White Rock skateboarder Andy Anderson is set to be among the field at the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, as part of the fifth annual World Freestyle Round-Up Skateboarding Championship.
The event will feature skateboarding demonstrations as well as competitions, with Anderson among the top contenders.
The 20-year-old Anderson recently returned from a two-week skateboarding tour of India, where he put on skateboarding demos, and is also the reigning world amateur freestyle champion. He has won competitions and taken part in events all across the United States.
In total, 28 competitors from 11 different countries are expected to take part, including world champion Per Wellinder, who was Michael J. Fox’s skateboarding stunt-double in Back to the Future.
Surrey’s Chadd Sinclair – who placed 10th in the amateur category at last year’s rodeo – is also scheduled to take part in the event. For more, visit www.cloverdalerodeo.com
