The U11 and U13 Penticton Tigers baseball teams win championships at season-ending tourney

Two Penticton minor baseball teams wrapped up the season on a winning note with championships at the recent Sussex Fall Classic in Kelowna.

Both the U11 and U 13 squads went the distance undefeated to clinch the winning hardware in their respective divisions.

The Tigers U11 Mosquito entry opened the tourney with an 8-7 win over the West Kelowna DBacks and followed that up with an identical score in a victory over the Kelowna Sun Devils. Dawson Stewart was the team MVP in the first game and Brayden Maurice in the second.

The Tigers U11 Mosquito entry opened the tourney with an 8-7 win over the West Kelowna DBacks and followed that up with an identical score in a victory over the Kelowna Sun Devils. Dawson Stewart was the team MVP in the first game and Markus Messing in the second.

In the U13 division, it was the Tigers finishing up with a record of three wins and a tie.

Penticton wound up the event with a decisive 9-1 over Kelowna to clinch the championship. Linden Moore was the team MVP in that game.
