The Mission Roadrunners senior varsity team ended the B.C. high school exhibition schedule on a low note, falling 35-0 to the South Delta Sun Devils on Saturday.

South Delta quarterback Michael Calvert (202 yards passing and three touchdowns) and running back Andrew Kraft (two touchdowns) led the charge for the Sun Devils, who were playing on their home field.

The setback wraps up the exhibition schedule for the senior varsity team, who finished with zero wins and three losses against stiff competition in the games.

Mission then opens the regular season at home against the Centennial Centaurs today (Friday) at 3:30 p.m. The senior varsity team then hosts the Mt. Boucherie Bears on Sept. 30 to close out the month.

The Mission junior varsity team earned its first win of the exhibition schedule on Sept. 13, with a 42-14 win over G.W. Graham. The Roadrunners returned to action on Thursday afternoon against Lord Tweedsmuir, but results were not available at press time.

The junior team wraps up the exhibition schedule on Sept. 28 when they host Vancouver College.
