Santa to make a stop in Grand Forks

The annual Christmas community skate is coming up.

It is hard to believe the how quickly the festive season is approaching.

Grand Forks Recreation will kick off the holiday season with the 32nd annual Seniors Tea on Friday, Dec. 7 from 10 to 12:30 p.m. Please bring a snack or goodie to share with others. There will be Christmas carolling, fun and food. Draw prizes have been provided by Scotts Brothers Coffee and Work and Play Clothing.

Ultimate Hockey presents the Old Fashion Christmas Community Skate on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Come out and enjoy a free hot chocolate, donated by Thyme and Plate, free cookies donated by Save-On Foods, Christmas caroling by the choral society, and the good man himself, Santa will be escorted by the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

The Grand Forks Skating club members will be providing a Christmas performance from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Bring the family out for a magical evening of skating and family fun at the Jack.

The Elks of Canada Branch #493 will be presenting “Frosty the Snowman is a fairytale they say?” Santa will be taking a break from his busy schedule to take part in this fun family event at the Grand Forks Aquatic Centre. Mark your calendar and get ready for some festive fun on Friday, Dec. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.
