Sanford & Dillman and Shuswap deliver amazing game

Fantastic finale to men's fastball playoff championship

Shuswap Defender Jerome “Stumpy” Boyce whacked a line drive into center field during the 100 Mile House Men's Fastball playoff championship game. The game was close between Shuswap and Sanford & Dillman Hornets with Sanford winning 5-3.

The 100 Mile House Mens Fastball League’s playoff championship have come to an end with a fantastic final game between the Sanford & Dillman Hornets and the Shuswap Defenders.

A hard fought game by both teams, Sanford would take home the 5-3 victory.

Both teams had stellar defence as neither team wanted to give the other an inch.

Sanford pitcher Reg Hooper and Shuswap pitcher Kevin Neufeld were fantastic on the mound, throwing in burners throughout the game.

The turning point came when Hooper slammed a home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the sixth to gain Sanford the runs it needed to take the victory.

This is the first time the Sanford & Dillman Hornets the playoff championship in four years.
