Revelstoke Grizzlies lose game one in doublt overtime

Revelstoke Grizzlies lose game one 4-3 in double overtime to 100 Mile House Wranglers.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies lost a heartbreaker in double overtime to open their series against the 100 Mile House Wranglers on Wednesday.

The teams traded goals in the first period, with Ryan Friesen scoring for 100 Mile and Kyle Berry evening things up for Revelstoke.

Stephen Egan put 100 Mile up 2-1 with a goal midway through the second. Michael Lynch added to the Wranglers lead four minutes into the third.

Brady Mende led the Grizzlies comeback, scoring twice in the third, including the tying goal with 22 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

After a scoreless period, Justin Bond scored the game winner in double-overtime, giving 100 Mile the win.

The teams face off for game two tonight in 100 Mile. Games three and four take place in Revelstoke on Saturday and Sunday.
