The Revelstoke Acrobats had 17 athletes attend the BC Provincial Gymnastics Championships in Langley this weekend. It was a three day event that hosted the best athletes in the province.

Both Summer Novakowski and Ruby Ryga earned two medals each in their events, just missing provincial golds. Some of the other highlights were Julia Mackenzie winning bronze — her first ever individual provincial medal earning a bronze.

There were many top 10 finishes. Cracking the top six were Alyssa Bollefer, Josh Winger, Veronica Cadden, Scott Novakowski, Kayln Gale, Sani Supinen and Charlie Hill.

In synchronized trampoline, Madeleine Hobgood and Sani Supinen earned a fourth place and Devyn Gale and Parker English placed fifth in their respective levels.

The team really came together at this event and it was a great experience. Some of the athletes will now be training hard for the Western Canada Cup held in Calgary in May.
