Pilon rink wins Comox Valley Junior Bonspiel

The Brier Pilon rink captured the Comox Valley Junior Bonspiel this past Saturday. The boys had a record of 3-0, with scores of 6-4, 12-3 and 11-1.

The team includes Brier Pilon skip, Jackson Marshall third, Mackenzie Ellis second, and Duncan Gallop lead.

There were 18 teams from all over the Island and the day was filled with lots of exciting games being watched by parents, grandparents and friends cheering everyone on.

“A huge thanks to ADI Benefits for the main event sponsorship and to Shauna and Adam Duncan and Connie Stanick for their efforts in making this a terrific day for all the kids,” an event spokesperson said.

On a side note, if curling fans want to watch some fantastic competitive curling come on down to watch the U21 Junior Coastal Playdowns  at the Comox Valley Curling Centre starting this Friday and running all weekend.
