In the photo, Teresa Heisterman congratulates Sienna Foster-Henderson for winning a bronze medal at the Super Series in Kelowna held March 2 – 4.

The Clearwater skating coach said that students such as Sienna are the reason she has loved teaching.

“She is such a pleasure to teach – always eager and polite!” Heisterman said.

Foster-Henderson was the only member of the Raft Mountain Skating Club to compete in Kelowna.

Most of the other figure-skaters had taken part in a different competition in February but she had been unable to attend.

“This was my last competition,” Heisterman added. “I am retiring after this season. I’ve been very blessed to have the opportunity to teach many children in this community over the passed few years.”
