Headlocks for Hawks event kicks off Trevor Eros' new venture

Fresh off his run for mayor of Abbotsford, Trevor Eros is returning to the professional wrestling ring.

The longtime Abbotsford resident is going to continue to compete in the squared circle, but has now added promoter to his list of titles.

Eros announced the formation of B.C.’s newest independent promotion known as Pacific Pro Wrestling on his Twitter account on Dec. 22.

“After many years of dreaming and setting goals, I am proud to announce myself as the newest independent wrestling promoter in B.C.,” he stated.

He also announced PPW’s first show, which will be called Headlocks for Hawks.

The show, which will be a fundraiser for W.J. Mouat Secondary graduation events, will occur at Mouat Secondary on Feb. 9.

The event card and full details of the wrestlers performing has not been released, but tickets for the event are $15 pre-sale or $20 at the door on the night of the show.

According to PPW’s Facebook page, the group will focus on combining wrestling shows with fundraising events. Abbotsford regularly hosts shows from both Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling and All Star Wrestling.

Professional wrestling is also a staple event at the annual Abbotsford Agrifair.
