MS Bike back in Langley this summer

Riders are signing up for the July event and raising funds.

The MS Bike ride is coming back to Langley next month, raising funds to fight the debilitating disease of multiple sclerosis.

On July 15 and 16 the Fraser Valley Experience ride will start from 9 a.m. on the Saturday, taking riders on a variety of routes from the relatively easy to the lengthy and challenging.

Routes on day one will be either 48, 72, or 112 kilometres, while Sunday will see riders cover 38 or 60 kilometres. The exact routes are still subject to final municipal approval.

There are 90 cyclists and 21 teams currently registered for the fundraising ride.

Depending on which route they pick, they will have the chance to stop at up to 10 wineries, breweries, and an organic farm along the way. The ride still includes free wine tasting.

The event starts at the Coast Hotel in Langley City and includes post-ride entertainment, a silent auction, and a themed celebration dinner.

Riders must raise a minimum of $350 to participate.
