The Cloverdale Lynx wore pink socks to show support for breast cancer month at their Oct. 2 game at Cloverdale Athletic Park against the North Surrey Hawks.

Highlights: Cloverdale Lynx started off wearing pink socks to show support for breast cancer month.The Lynx fought hard against the Hawks. They had some great defensive play action with some big stops by Ania Grudzien-Green and Riley Bjarnason.

We also saw some great passes thrown from the quarter back Xavier Menshah,one of the passes was about 30 yards and it was received by Tyson Galye to gain another first down.The Lynx also created two turnovers for first down.The defense played very well.

Cloverdale Bobcats: 40


A slow start by the Cloverdale Bobcats saw them trailing by a touchdown early on. Sticking to their game plan, the Bobcats executed well during the remainder of the game.  Cloverdale’s offense proved to be relentless, marching down the field for six touchdowns from six different players.  Defensively they held the Raiders scoreless for the remainder of the match and recovered multiple kicks and fumbles.

Cloverdale Lions played a fantastic game, starting from the opening whistle. Within in the first minute Brenden Kuhn took a handoff from Logan McEvoy and scampered 18 yards for a touchdown.

Ethan Morphy added two more touchdowns in the game.

Safety Mitchell Anderson had a beautiful interception in the first half and took it back 24 yards until he was tackled and defensive End Dominik Grudzien-Green added another interception later on and took it 35 yards for touchdown.

The final score was 32-0 for the Cloverdale Lions.
