Langley’s Jarid Vaughan won gold in the men’s 100m event at the Coquitlam All-Comers Meet.
It was held June 4 at Coquitlam’s Percy Perry Stadium.
Vaughan crossed the finish line in 10.62 to take spot.
The 28-year-old graduated from R.E. Mountain Secondary before attending the University of Texas Arlington on scholarship.
He graduated from the school in 2010, majoring in kinesiology. When not competing, he works as an assistant coach for the university.
