Knuckles coming to Chilliwack for Montreal Canadiens alumni game

Chris Nilan and Stephane Richer are the latest Habs alums to sign on for the fundraiser match.

One of the toughest players to ever don a Montreal Canadiens jersey will be in Chilliwack for a game Feb. 15 at Prospera Centre.

Chris ‘Knuckles’ Nilan will play for the Montreal Canadians Alumni as they face off against the ChillyWackers in a fundraiser game to benefit the Chilliwack Society for Community Living.

Nilan logged an astounding 3,043 penalty minutes in 688 big-league games in a career that started in 1979-80 and ended in 1991-92. He spent most of his time with the Habs but also played for the New York Rangers and his hometown Boston Bruins.

Nilan is the third Montreal alumnus to confirm, joining Patrice Brisbois and Stephane Richer.

All proceeds from the game will go to the Chilliwack Society for Community Living to help support adults with developmental disabilities and children and youth with special needs.
