Kloske wins Comox Ladies North Island Golf Tournament

Karen Kloske won the 2018 Comox Ladies North Island Golf Tournament, May 13 at the Comox Golf Club.

Kloske — who grew up in the Comox Valley but golfs out of March Meadows in Honeymoon Bay near Lake Cowichan — finished with a gross score of 74.

Holly Sanders of Glacier Greens Golf Course won the low net with a score of 68.

The first six gross scores were Shelly Stouffer 77, Josee DesLauries 78, Georgina Hermans 81, Karen Hopwood 86, Jan Dafoe 87 and Sue Power 89.

The first eight net scores were Barb Buchanan 69, Kathy Branch 70, Sara Smith 71, Lorelei Banford 72, Edith Yaworski 72,Grace Coulter 73, Kelly Strachan 73 and Gi Carlson 73.

The Comox Golf Club has hosted the event for 58 years. A total of 65 ladies participated.

Gregg Hart from Royal Lepage was the sponsor.
