If that includes the Oak Bay Half Marathon, 10K, Relay and Kids Run, registration is open for the May 27 event that weaves through the heart of Oak Bay’s shopping district before looping out along the scenic seaside route of Beach Drive. The new year also brings a new deal for early registration, good through March 15. Race registration continues through May 25.

It’s a full weekend in Oak Bay women’s soccer. The Div. 1 Castaways FC takes on the Gorge FC this Sunday, Jan. 21 at 12 p.m. at Hampton Turf.
