A number of Vernon runners won their age groups at the Canadian Tire Interior Running Association’s Naramata to Penticton 10-km race Sunday.
Jennifer Jakobi was the second overall female finisher and first in her women’s 40-44 age category in one hour 12 minutes and 33 seconds.
Rick Jenkner, a top finisher among the men, won the men’s 55-59 division in 1:09:32.
Other age group winners were Jen Bond (1:14:55) and Patricia Riegel (1:31:55). Steve Briggeman and Morgan Lockhart battled it out for a top-10 overall showing with Briggeman (1:06:31) edging out Lockhart (1:06:52).
Briggeman was second in the men’s 50-54 class while Lockhart was third in men’s 20-29
Also winning silver medals for their age class were Rick Stone (1:11:47) and Lynda Proce (1:18:28).
Other runners completing the course were Kirbey Lockhart (1:12:56), Dan Kunzelman (1:13:23), Paul Fillipi (1:16:18), Cahty Brown (1:19:40), Ken Riegel (1:21:48), Keri Parish (1:22:35), Mike Everitt (1:25:23), Erica Moser-Reschreiter (1:26:15), Onna Stoll (1:33:09), Nell Elders (1:40:03) and John and Carol Chisholm (1:40:15, each).
