The Credo Christian Kodiaks withstood a pesky Ucluelet Warriors squad to advance to the quarter-finals of the B.C. 1A senior boys basketball championships.

The third-seed Kodiaks were up 17-15 after one quarter and extended the lead to 37-28 at the half, ultimately winning 63-57 on Wednesday (March 11) at the Langley Events Centre.

The win advances Credo Christian to face the No. 6 West Point Grey Academy Wolves in the quarters.

Against the Warriors, Elias Dewit led the team with 17 points, six rebounds and four steals.

Cam Pol chipped in with a dozen points and nine rebounds while Braden Schouten scored 11 and nine rebounds.
