The dissolution of the North Island field lacrosse team, the Rage, earlier this season did not dissuade these determined players from joining their closest counterparts in Parksville, the Oceanside Buccaneers.

The Bucs are comprised of players from Oceanside, the Comox Valley and Port Alberni. After a strong year which included 12 wins, six losses and one tie, the team defeated the Nanaimo Raiders to clench the second provincial berth for Vancouver Island.

The Buccaneers can also be proud of pushing through with much determination during last weekend’s rain squalls to narrowly miss the Island title through a one-point loss to Pac Rim of Victoria.
