Chilliwack Tennis Society holds court with summer camps

Following return-to-play protocols, the tennis group has camps running each week in July and August

The Chilliwack Tennis Society is returning to action with a full slate of summer camps starting in early July.

Programs are available for all ages, starting with an intermediate camp that runs July 6-10 for children ages 5-12 who have taken tennis lessons in the past.

Adults hit the court at Watson Glen Park (5727 Tyson Road) the following week (July 13-17) for a FAST camp. FAST stands for Fun Adult Starter Tennis, which introduces the basic fundamentals of play as well as rules and scoring.

Camps continue through to the end of August, with a cost of $100 per participant per week.

With the unusual circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, coach Phil Dacre said all sessions will comply with health authority regulations and Tennis Canada safety regulations.
