100 Mile House Bantam Wranglers get the better of Lillooet in back to back games

Bantams combined for eight goals to four during the two games

The Bantam Rec Wranglers Team 1 (sponsored by Forest Grove Legion) hosted Lillooet for two league games this past weekend.

On Dec. 1, the puck dropped at 2:15 p.m. and started with Lillooet scoring the first goal on relief goalie Corey Harding. Not a minute later, the Wranglers evened up the score with a great shot by Cameron Scott assisted by Lucas Zucchelli.

The teams seemed very well matched and the Bantams were able to add to the scoreboard near the end of the period with a sweet goal by Julian Zucchelli. The second period came and went with no goals scored by either team. The third period started out much the same as the second until Mason Pincott scored part way through and then Scott with an assist from J. Zucchelli helped secure their lead. A few minor penalties didn’t slow the team down and L. Zucchelli added yet another goal with an assist from Scott. Lillooet was able to score one more before the end of the game making the final score 5-2 for the home team.

Sunday morning the teams faced off at 11:15 a.m. and the puck went back and forth between ends until Pincott managed to score the only goal of the first period. The second period had Elias Moore, with assists from Mikayla Glen and Scott, add to the lead.

Lillooet managed to get two goals in before Pincott with the help of Martin Stillas put the Bantams ahead of the game once again. The third period had both teams spending time in the penalty box and neither team scoring any points.

The final score was 3-2 for 100 Mile.
