Vigil garners support

Thank you to all the participants, artists, media, speakers and panelists of the Dec 6 vigil

Thank you for making the Dec 6 vigil a success!

Thank you to all the participants, artists, media, speakers and panelists of the Dec 6 vigil from the Penticton and Area Women’s Centre and the Okanagan College Student Union. Also thank you to the Okanagan College Women Resource Centre. This event wouldn’t have been possible without all of your help and support.

A special thanks to the Golo Art Project’s Sarah Fahey and its members for painting an art panel. And to Anne Tonasket, restorative justice co-ordinator, David Desautels, PAWC legal advocate, and John Mott, Okanagan College criminology teacher, for being such inspiring panelists.

Thank you to the Public Service Alliance of Canada for their generous donations to the event and to the Penticton and Area Women Centre. We are always looking for donations; either monetary donations or our Free Shelf always needs to be stocked with hygiene products.

For more information on upcoming events, contact Angelika Eneas, event facilitator, or Bernadette Otto, centre co-ordinator, at 250-493-6288.
