Have you noticed the profusion of weeds along the derelict E&N right-of-way?
If the Minister of Highways were a farmer, some of that millions he donated to the “road” allowance, named the ‘Malahat’ could be used to buy seed to be planted on the rail right-of-way. At least the product could be sold to the many farmers, at a discount of course!
This neglected rail transport corridor, the E&N, must be making Dunsmuir roll over in his grave at so much impropriety attending its lack of proper use, so that cars and trucks (consumers of gas and oil, petrol and diesel, to some of you) can puke out fumes, also dropping gallons of leaked oil on the pavement along the way.
The lack of logic exercised for the movement of Island traffic (its means plus expenditures) is a disgrace.
Referring particularly to politicians who ostensibly are more informed than the general public in these matters, this government has an abysmal record that it can never expunge as it persists in following the Campbell regime.
