Make your own decisions

There are many other candidates who are well-rounded and are interested in more than just this issue.

If you are a die-hard supporter of SmartCentres and not sure who to vote for in the municipal election, don’t worry, for SmartCentres has compiled a list of candidates they trust to represent their interests on your city council. To quote Nathan Hildebrand, land development manager for SmartCentres: “As you know, the 2011 municipal elections are quickly approaching … I want to take this opportunity to personally thank Couns. Cannon, Eliason, Flynn, Harrison and Mayor Bootsma for supporting our development.  I strongly encourage our supporters to continue to show their support for all returning councillors as well as Coun. Flynn’s candidacy for mayor. As previously mentioned, we need our supporters to make sure they get out and vote for those individuals who have supported our project over the past three years. If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I’ll see you at the all- candidate’s meeting!”

There are many other candidates who are well-rounded and are interested in more than just this issue. Unlike the candidates above, they don’t have a huge outside corporation promoting them. They are dependent on you coming to the all-candidates meeting to hear about their vision for Salmon Arm, and the many issues and opportunities we have. Please do come and then decide for yourself  who will best represent your vision, and then get out and vote for them. The all-candidates meeting will be held Sunday, Nov. 6 at the SASCU Rec Centre between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.
