LETTER: Langford needs to look at curbing traffic speeds

The City of Langford deems any road that does not have a posted speed limit is set at 50 km/h. During this past summer the City of Langford was asked to study the speed limits on Crystalview Drive. The City determined that traffic was okay given the limit is 50 km/h. This is too fast for a road with kids on bikes, people walking dogs, etc.

Worse yet there are blind curves narrowed by parked cars on both sides of the street, not to mention people stopping to get their mail at the mid way point.

Atkins Road by comparison is 30 km/h. Something needs to be done soon to curb the traffic speeds or else someone is going to get hurt.
