LETTER: Environmental concerns must be priority

Climate change is continuing to have a detrimental impact on hundreds of millions of lives

Dear Editor:

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley is in a politically difficult situation and probably will not be reelected if the Kinder Morgan pipeline is not built.

Although it would be desirable for Notley to continue to nudge Alberta in a more progressive direction, protecting the environment needs to be the bigger priority.

Climate change is continuing to have a detrimental impact on hundreds of millions of lives around the planet which far out weighs the benefits the pipeline would have on temporary jobs created in Alberta.
