Give the noisy garden machines a rest
Re: old fashioned values
When I was young people would use rakes, pushmowers, shears and all those hand tools to clean up their yards and gardens.
Now for some crazy reason everybody seems to think if they aren’t using a noisy machine to do their work, then it doesn’t get done.
Alright, a few shortcuts for your dirty work, but does it have to be whenever I sit down outside, somebody decides to kill my peace and quiet. Why can’t there be one day of the week when all those machines get a rest and my ears, too? Sundays used to be a day of rest, now all hell breaks loose and the weekend warriors go to battle against poor old mother nature. Not only are these machines offensively loud but they are a major contributor to pollution.
OK, so I hope you get my drift and that you would consider your neighbours next time you pull out a leaf blower, weed whacker, chainsaw, etc.
