Flowers, fish could become tourist draws

Re: Councillor says Port Drive ready for development, March 16.

My suggestion would be a mini type arboretum (similar to Kew Gardens in England.) All glassed in, to contain live native plants, trees, flowers, etc., many unusual and found only on the Island.

A large sea-life aquarium could be vastly interesting to citizens and visitors.

A walkway connecting the cruise ships also, would give everyone a comfortable place to enjoy winter and summer. Right on the waterfront, keeping the lovely harbour in sight.

So many venues could be gathered together (all in one place) that are now scattered throughout the city. Such as a tourist booth, First Nations artifacts, local artists’ works, a café. So many uses could be incorporated within the building and would then employ knowledgeable people to inform, educate, and interest every age group of all the special things we have here to see and explore in the city and surrounding areas.
