In “The Observer Asked,” Wednesday, April 20 issue, Bill Kiesman answered the question, “If you were elected prime minister what would be the first thing you would do?”
His answer, “Distribute our wealth for the benefit of all. God created us all equal, so we should share equally.”
No, we are not all equal, each having different abilities, both physical and mental.
Kiesman spouts the socialist ideology.
Has he never read Jesus’ words in the three gospels, Matt 26:11, Mark 14:7, John 12:8, “for you have the poor always with you.”
Did Jesus know many would not work, and many could not work for various reasons?
Are social welfare, various pensions, rebates, food banks, food hampers, churches, thrift shops, etc. not distributing wealth?
Should he or she who never worked or will not work, have the same as we who worked for years? I think not.
So, governments and individuals, organizations, churches do share already.
