Winston Albert

April 9, 1934 – February 10, 2008

Passed away peacefully due to a lengthy illness in Comox, B.C. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce Ida Murphy. Winston is survived by his sons Kevin, Pat and Chris of Comox, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, numerous other relatives and friends. He was a cook for CAF (A) for 23 years. Winston was a member of the Rod and Gun Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. He worked for 20 years for the Dept. of Highways & BC Ferries as a cook. His passion was fishing (go get the big one) he caught the biggest 53 pounder off King Coho Point, hunting and doing firewood. Dad was a compassionate person who would do anything for anybody and he had time for anyone. Thanks to Dr. Musgrave, 3rd floor staff, emergency and ambulance attendants, first responders and friends. Private arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, COURTENAY. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Diabetes Society or the Hospice Association would be appreciated.
