After retiring from the military in 1978 and becoming a member of Royal Canadian Legion branch 17, Dad immediately went to work at Forbidden Plateau ski hill as a heavy equipment mechanic. An avid golfer, he later moved out to Sunnydale golf course as a greens-keeper until his final retirement.
For many years, he loved working in his garden and took pride in keeping his home and property looking beautiful. Dad was a quiet man, never had a lot to say and never complained. He was a very hard working man who didn’t like to sit still.
He was a very loving and loyal husband and committed dad. I love you Dad and will miss you!
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Memorial/Poppy service to be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 2nd at the Courtenay Legion.
