Thomas John Spann, Tommy or Tom to most who knew & loved him, has passed on from this earthly life, Saturday, January 20th.
He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Spann and Irmgard Spann and his son, Thomas Spann Jr.
Tom made meaningful and lasting impacts in the lives of all those he met and knew. He was an honest, kind and gentle man. He had a big heart! He was extremely loyal to those whom he called friends. Tom was a great protector and advocate for the underdog. He was patriotic and loved his country and the opportunities it had offered his family when they first immigrated here.
Tom was extremely dedicated to his work as a logger and could handle, maintain and drive a logging truck better than most. He was always going the “extra mile” for the company. Tom was an avid fisherman and loved that quiet time on the river. Another passion was his motorcycle, and he and Sam spent many a mile cruisin’ the roads together looking for adventure. Tom was a man who loved his wife, Sam, loved his family & friends and all the good, life has to offer. Tom had a beautiful spirit about him and was a content man. All who knew him were blessed.
He leaves behind his wife & soul mate, Sam, nee Mohan. Also his siblings, Gunther & (Irene) Spann, Werner & (Sabine) Spann, Marilyn & (Fred) Baker, Gordon & (Mo) Spann, David & (Mary) Spann, Norman Spann & sister Sylvia Dekker, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Tom’s family wishes to thank all those friends who visited, called and supported Tom in these last few months. We will all miss him and never forget him. He will be in our hearts forever.
There will be a gathering to remember Tom at a later date.
