Our dear mom, grandma, and great-grandmother passed away January 27 in the Kootenay Boundary Hospital in Trail with her family by her side.
Mom moved to Castlegar in 2009 to be near to family. She thoroughly enjoyed the family get-togethers and spending time with family. Mom was a gifted seamstress and also did knitting and crocheting. She made 4 hats, just this past Fall. She also enjoyed reading and watching “Figure Skating” on T.V.
Ruth is survived and missed by her daughters Gayle (Don) Edwards and Joy Woodford, her 3 grandchildren; Wendy (Ken) Moffat, Greg (Sue) Pow and Ryan Pow, her precious great-granddaughters, Ashley, Nikki, Meghan and Darci, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom was predeceased by her husband (Bud) William Arthur Woodford in 1989.
At mom’s request, there will not be a service following cremation.
Family and close friends will gather to “celebrate her life” at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Meghan Taylor for caring for Mom and pst 9 years and Dr. Forman and nurse Cheryl as well as others at the Trail Hospital.
Castlegar Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
