passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the age of 90. Survived by his loving family, daughter Sandra (Jack) Unser of Kelowna, sons Jim (Brenda) of Papua New Guinea, Brian of Kelowna, stepdaughter Judy Langford of Regina; ten grandchildren: Laurie (George), Linda, Grant (Janet), Jacqueline (Earl), Tracy (Troy), Brenna, Douglas, Brianna, Katie and David; 14 great grandchildren; brothers Harvey of Winnipeg, Herbert (Emily) of Winnipeg, Robert (June) of Armstrong, brother-in-law Jim Talbot and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by his wife of 60 years Frieda, his son Glen, sister Gleetis Talbot, brothers Colin and Leslie, sisters-in-law Mary and Alpha. Born on April 1, 1918 in Gilbert Plains, MB, Ralph served in the Royal Canadian Artillery for four years during the second World War. He was the most loving, patient and caring husband, Dad and Grandpa. Ralph was one of the Toronto Blue Jays’ biggest fans. The family wishes to thank the staff of Joseph Benjamin Residence and Cottonwoods Extended Care. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road with interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to New Tribes Mission, Box 707, Durham, ON, N0G 1R0.
