It is with great sadness that we accept your sudden passing from unexpected complications of a cold-like illness. This second brush with death within two years robbed us of your loving presence. We will cherish the many happy memories you gave us as a sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. In your younger working years, you helped mom and dad care for your siblings when family income was limited. As well, back then you so enjoyed being social and fashionable in our rural Silverdale community—participating in activities such as a talent show, a home town beauty contest and hosting a house party in our newly renovated family home. Your 1958 marriage to Roy, a Royal Canadian Military Engineer, brought us the excitement of being part of a wedding with a military honour guard. You and Roy were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kathy (deceased 2008) and Peggy, who happened to be born the day the Americans landed on the moon! Peggy and Steve gave you great joy with the birth of your grandson Jesse in 2000.
Sisters forever in love,
