Nettie Craig died peacefully at Berwick on the Lake in Nanaimo BC at the age of 90. She was born in Regina, SK, the youngest daughter of six children to Homer and Marguerite LeGault. She was predeceased in death by her parents; her husband Bruce; brothers Albert Joseph, Henry and Benjamin; her sisters Madeline and Sister Eleanor LeGault.
She is survived by her five children, Barbara (Chris), Brenda (Bill), Nancy (Lyle), Bill (Melissa), and Bobby (Carole); her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and lifelong friend Betty Behm of Regina SK.
Nettie moved to Nanaimo at the age of 38 with her husband Bruce and five children. After many years as a homemaker, Nettie joined the BC Ferries where she worked for the next 25 years holding various positions, culminating with the position of Tower Controller. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her time being a grandmother, knitting and being a member of the Bowen Seniors, playing carpet bowling.
She volunteered at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital where she worked in the gift shop for over 20 years.
Nettie’s family are grateful for the care and compassion provided by the staff at Berwick on the Lake.
No funeral service will be held.
