Charles Francis Gibbs Pierce, M.M.M., C.D. Retired

Master Warrant Officer Charles Francis Gibbs Pierce passed away on February 3, 2017 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 90.

Charles is predeceased by son Rik. Survived by wife of 70 years Nikki, sons Steve (Darlene) and Ray (Susan), brother Hank and sister Lorraine, 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Also after the war, Charles became a member of the Canadian Scottish Regiment as a band member Piper and Master Warrant Officer “B” company, CScotR Association, and the Nanaimo Scottish Pipe Band, as well as Legion Piper for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256.

Service will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256 on East Wellington Road in Nanaimo on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at 12pm noon.

By request, donations can be made to the Legion Poppy Fund in memory of C. F. Pierce.
