MARY DOW SNOWSELL (Landale)

October 17, 1922 to January 15, 2009. Mary Dow (Landale) was a lifelong resident of the Kelowna area. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends. In 1980 Mary and husband Frank built their retirement home on Okanagan Lake and generously shared their hospitality and beach with friends and family. In their eighties, Mary and Frank moved to Sunrise Village in Kelowna where they met new friends and continued to enjoy life. Mary will be remembered by her son Richard, daughter-in-law Diane, grandchildren: Sheila Williamson (Ross Collier), David Williamson (Cindy Nahm), Kate Snowsell (Jeremy Blaskovits) and Maggie Snowsell. Mary will also be remembered by brother Tom Landale (Pauline), son-in-law Ian Williamson, Erna Harder, sisters-in-law Gwen Robertson, Helen Snowsell, Mavis Silverson, (John), Joy Stone, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Beverley and husband Frank. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M Saturday, January 24th, 2009 in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC. Thanks to Dr. Rob Williams and everyone at Hospice House for their exceptional care and kindness throughout Marys last days.
