Margaret Ila Wilson

1928 – 2014

Margaret Ila Wilson was born in 1928 in Trochu, Alberta and left this world to enter the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the afternoon of November 25th, 2014 in Vernon, BC.

While Marg began her life in Alberta, she lived most of it in British Columbia including Vancouver, Victoria, Savona, Prince George, Valemount and finally the Okanagan Valley.  In her younger days she worked in her father’s restaurant. She later married Wilf Wilson and raised three wonderful children. Afterwards she would be a high school and public Librarian in Valemount, BC. She was renowned for her flower gardens and also dedicated much of her time to researching her family’s genealogy.

She is predeceased by her husband Wilf Wilson, her two sisters Katherine and Norma, and her two step brothers Samuel and Ralph. She is survived by her three loving children and their spouses: Debra (Cliff) Harder, Dean (Glenda) Wilson and Dayle (Ebert) Erickson. She will also be deeply missed by her 7 grandchildren: Joe, Ben, Meagan, Alyson, Kathleen, Jennine and Darlene and by her 8 great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Marg’s life Saturday, Dec 6th, at 1pm at Grace Bible Church, 5661 Silver Star Road, Vernon, BC.
