Marg passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Rosalie, Colleen and Dennis, her four siblings, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Chet.
Margaret taught elementary school for 8 years in Ontario and then became an Early Childhood Educator
and spent twenty-seven years as a Tiny Tots instructor in Vernon. Following her retirement she substituted at many
child care centres in Vernon. She was an active volunteer, especially with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Performing Arts Centre and the hospital gift shop. Marg spent her happiest times caring for children, singing with her choir, camping, and listening to the call of loons.
A celebration of Marg’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 15th, 2-4 pm at the Army and Navy Hall (“The Hanger”) in Vernon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the ALS Society or the North Okanagan Neurological Association.
