Lynda Gail Dewar

It is with great sadness that the family of Lynda Dewar announces the sudden passing of someone so dear to our hearts.

Lynda was born in Nelson to Jim & Shirley Dewar, she attended Hume and Nelson Jr. High Schools and was a graduate of LV Rogers High School. She was employed by Nelson Land Titles Office for a number of years and then there was a move to Kelowna and then to New Westminster where Land Titles was involved in her employment once again for several years.

A number of years after the passing of her partner Paul, Alan Saxby entered her life and from then on it was a life of living in Australia part of the year and in Nelson where she loved to meet up with old friends. Lynda had a great smile and an awesome sense of humor, she did enjoy fun times and took real pleasure in driving around town in her yellow ’66 Mustang. Travel was a great part of Alan & Linda’s life.

Lynda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alan and family, sister Donna, brother Gordon (Pam), nephews Brant (Karen) and Garth, niece Mackenzie, uncle Stewart and numerous cousins and friends.

Lynda was predeceased by her mother and father, nephew Dale, nieces Tracy and Kelsey, brother Ken and sister-in-law Brenda.

In keeping with the wishes of Lynda, there will be no services.

Donations in memory of Lynda may be made to Nelson SPCA, 502C Falls St., Nelson BC, V1L 6B5 or World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Canada, 410 Adelaide St. West, #400, Toronto Ontario, M5V 1S8.
