It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Les (L.Thomas) Holdcroft on the morning of February 6th, at age 95.

He was predeceased by his wife Ruth and sister Irene. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Ken), Althea, & Sylvia (Dave), his grandchildren, Megan, Stephanie (John) & Jackie (Steve), and great-grandchildren, Hazel & Everett, his step-grandchildren, Tony (Amanda), Jacquie (Shawn), Kevin (Katherine), Jon (Tracy), Roger (Bobbie), Natasha, his step-great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Caleb, Junia, Tyler-James (Deeanna), Jason, Sebastian, Christian, Lexi & Beau, many nieces and nephews and special friends. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, pastor, teacher and friend to so many people.

Leslie was born in Strathclair, MB and at age 8 moved to Calgary, AB. After high school he attended Western Bible College in Winnipeg, MB and then taught at Glad Tidings Bible Institute in San Francisco, CA. The college moved to Santa Cruz (rename Bethany Bible College) and over 21 years he was the Dean of Education, Vice President, campus Pastor & magazine Editor. He continued his education receiving his B.A. and M.A. as well as completing graduate studies. He was awarded an honorary Doctoral degree. He married his college sweetheart, Ruth Sorensen and they had their 3 daughters Cynthia, Althea and Sylvia.

In 1968 he accepted the position of President at Western Pentecostal Bible College in North Vancouver, BC. Over the 19 years he was there, he relocated the college to Abbotsford (renamed Summit Pacific College). Leslie retired but from 1987-1999 he was the Director of the Canadian Pentecostal Correspondence College. In 1996, Leslie launched CeeTec Publishing to publish and market books he had authored.

The family would like to thank all the caring staff on Baker 2 at ARHCC for helping us walk in this journey. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to Summit Pacific College to the L.Thomas Holdcroft Scholarship Fund.
