Len – “The Ice Cream Man”

of the Garden Parlor

Len passed away peacefully on April 8, 2013 with his family at his side.

Len loved life and people. His joy, laughter and kind hearted jokes continued until his final days.

His life was full of passion for his family, his garden, and for those people he served through the Garden Parlor he founded with his wife, Dorothy. He fulfilled his dream, continuing up until his retirement – serving up ice-cream and laughter – including happily holding peoples’ babies while they enjoyed their ice cream.

His involvement in the community also included many years of hosting the Jopos and Jopettes during the Winter Carnival.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; Sons: Duane (Lorraine) of Quadra Island, Michael (Charlene) of Vernon; Daughter: Katherine (Keith) Hutton of St. Albert, AB.; Grandchildren: Nicholas, Roseanna, Amanda, Taylor, Marina, Sarah, Chelsea and Thomas; Great grandchildren: Winter and Arlen.

Cremation – internment at Bethel Rose Garden. No service by request.

Your consideration of the B.C. Kidney Foundation or Hospice House is appreciated.
