Beloved wife of Robert Wilson for 68 years, mother to Calvin, Bobbi-Lea McCulloch, Greg and Gord Wilson. Also lovingly remembered by her sisters Viola, Dolly and Merla and brother Delbert (D) & sister in law Nina, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and other family. Lea started life being named for a famous silent movie star and was a woman who challenged any obstacle head on. Mom and dad were high school sweethearts who have been together for over 70 years. Mom worked all her adult life and made a success of each of her careers. She was also able to fulfill a lifelong dream of travelling, having seen Australia, Europe, Canada and the United States including her favourite place in the world – Las Vegas!
Mom and dad moved to Quesnel 7 years ago and mom was active at the Senior’s Center, loving her Wednesday afternoons playing bridge. Her health has been failing for several years and on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 slipped peacefully away with her family near by.
We will host a celebration of mom’s life on what would have been her 87th birthday, May 17th at the home of her daughter, Bobbi McCulloch on Belcarra Road beginning at 2 pm
