Several years later, Earl and his wife Hazel moved to Chiliwack. Where they spent their remaining years together.
Music was a very big part of his life. Earl and family got together on many occasions to jam and play country music. He loved to play his guitar and sing his favourite songs. He spent time learning to play accordion, violin, and piano.
