John Walter “Stan” Standbrook

Stan Passed away peacefully alseep at home. Born in Waverly, Saskatchewan. As a young man he served 4 years in the R.C. Navy. His working life spent driving chiptrucks for Hearsey Transport. He retired early to enjoy life and being on the ocean in his boat. He had made Westholme Valley his home.

Survived by his daughters Angela and Debra Standbrook, grandson Franklin Barker and great granddaughter Delaney Barker, his brother Bill Standbrook in N. Vancouver, also newly found half-brother Roman Litwin and half-sister Rose Purschke from Saskatoon, Sask., old school chum Fred Graves. Not to forget countless family members from the Holman clan and friends throughout the Cowichan Valley.
