Life should not be a journey to the grave
with the intentions of arriving safe,
in an attractive, and well preserved body.
But rather, to skid in sideways,
champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other.
Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out.
Screaming, “Woo Hoo, what a ride”!
Janet Condon passed away at home among friends and family after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. She is resting peacefully in the gardens, at the end of a rainbow. Janet was born in Kaslo/Ainsworth, BC, a little mining town off the shore of the Kootenay Lake.
Janet was predeceased by her parents Bill and Shirley Hansen and her brother William (Bud). She is survived by her loving family; husband Leslie; daughter Jodi Rae (Greg), son Luke; grandchildren, Morgan and Emily; sisters Dee-Dee (Nick), Anna (Denis), Claire (Darren); brother Guy; nieces and nephews, Misty, Danielle, Sadie, Sarah, Jennifer, Nicole and Tyler. Janet also had many loving friends and neighbours.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the home care team, Dr. Mills, Dr. Lombard and everyone else who has shown their care and support over the last eight months.
