James Irwin “Ernie” Lawton

James Irwin (Ernie) Lawton was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 29th, 1934 and passed away suddenly at his residence in Vernon, B.C. on February 13th, 2018 at the age of 83 years.

Ernie lost his beloved wife and love of his life, Donna (nee Evans) in 1964. He is survived by his children, Debra and Grant (Marcy); five grandchildren, Justin, Amy, Alison, Paige and Hailey; three great- grandchildren, Andon, Jesse and Aaron; and numerous extended family members.

Ernie was a Power Line Technician (Lineman) for BC Hydro and he loved the job, working right up until his death. Being a Lineman for many years allowed Ernie to work in numerous locations in Saskatchewan and the BC Interior.

Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Ernie’s Life which will be held in Saskatchewan at a future date.
