IVAN, John "PAPA" ZLATIC

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our Dear Papa, on January 5 2009. He is now in the arms of his loving wife Slavica (Gloria), and our Lord. Papa is survived by his daughters Lucia Michaylow [Mike] and Ivanka Janie Vaudry (Alan); his grandchildren, Lisa, Lianna, James, Kristina and Charles and; two beautiful great-grand children. He is also survived by his loving niece Ljubica and her family in Lovran, Croatia. Papa was a man of honor who loved life and his family. He took pride in his vegetable garden and wine making. Papa often spoke of our Sunday family gatherings where we were so blessed to enjoy his incredible cooking. We will always remember the smell of great food cooking, music playing in the background and Mom cooking polenta, it was a home filled with loving memories Papa we are so grateful to you for instilling in us the true value of life. We will miss your smile. A special thank you to Unit E at Cottonwoods for all the care they gave Papa especially to Vera, Kathy and Nola. Thank you to Dr. Isidor Seager who cared for Papa (he still shook your hand in his last moments to prove his strength). Papa our “Capitano” we Thank you!
